Stickers are perhaps the most creative way to market just about any business. They can easily be affixed to just about anything, and as a result instantly brand whatever you please. This is not only the best way to get brand recognition, but also a fun way to show a different side of your brand. Below are the top tips for marketing your business with stickers.

Shape – Be sure that the shape of the sticker is something that stands out. By having a shape that is unlike any other, you are better able to get the recipient’s attention. Getting their attention after all is the first step in introducing your services, and also peaking their interest in your business.

Colors – Make sure that the colors of the stickers are reflective of your brand. By having colors that are inline with your brand, you are better able to build brand recognition, as well as build credibility within your company. Building recognition is something that will help in easily identifying your object, as well as help in getting the attention from your viewers.

Copy – If you would like to include copy on your sticker, try to have copy that is short and concise. Having copy that is short and to the point will motivate the reader to act on your sticker, as well as get your point across in the most efficient way possible. So be sure that the copy is not only reflective of your brand, but also action oriented.

Distribution – The way you choose to distribute your stickers is important as well. Remember, that the object you affix your sticker to is instantly branded. So try to only affix your brand to things that you are proud of, or items that fall in line within your branding strategy.

Contact Information – Be sure that the contact information you provide is something that is clearly stated. By having contact information in clear view for your recipient, you are more likely to get them to act on whatever action you’re asked to do.

When you are done be sure to affix your stickers to everything imaginable. This will help in getting attention as well getting brand notoriety. Also, be sure to get the feedback of friends, family and coworkers. They will inevitably provide the most honest feedback and will want to help you out in any way possible. Be sure that your stickers professionally printed and handed out.

When we see the word ‘forensic’ you might think of forensic scientist in TV series such as “CSI” (Crime Scene Investigations”) and while forensic accountants do investigate crimes, those crimes are concerned with finances, not murder scenes. The word forensic means ‘relating to the application of scientific knowledge to a legal problem,’ and forensic evidence is that which can be used in a court of law.

Forensic Accountants now have a fairly high profile because they acted in financial scandals involving large corporations, think back to 2001 and Enron. Forensic Accountants can be called upon to investigate fraud and what are termed “white collar” crimes. They can be called upon as Expert Witnesses in court cases in which a fraud is believed to have occurred. They are important to big businesses and governments and can also take part in lower profile cases.

If a small case needs investigating, a solicitor can contact such accountant and ask for advice. This is given in the first instant in a Letter of Advice. These Letters of Advice will point out the merits of a particular case and the possible pitfalls that may be involved if the case goes to trial. On the basis of such a letter, the solicitor will decide whether or not the services of a Forensic Accountant are required as an Expert Witness in court.

Before composing a Letter of Advice, they have to investigated and analyzed the financial evidence presented to them. Upon getting this service, they could decide to take evidence directly from the claimant (who has initiated the case) or the defendant, and leave out the solicitor who in this instance would only be a middleman. This cuts down on the costs the claimant and/or the defendant will eventually have to pay for services rendered. They are really experienced to solve the cases involved in financial irregularity or discrepancy by any mean; they are especially trained to solve down even toughest cases applying their deep analytical skills and investigating abilities.

Using a small business payroll service can minimize the amount of work you have to do as a small business owner. Your time is very valuable and limited. Focus your energy on activities which provide direct value to your organization. Processes such as payroll are extremely time-consuming however they do not add a direct benefit your company when performed as an in-house function.

Payroll companies can handle employee related issues along with federal and state regulatory issues as well. It is important to make sure you’re filings are done correctly to minimize penalties and amendments to previous tax forms.

Outsourcing your payroll will also eliminate the necessity for you to become an expert on topics such as withholding amounts, FICA, unemployment insurance and other labor laws. Rules are constantly changing, and it can be challenging to stay on top of all these new regulations while running your core business as well. If you have employees in multiple states, you should consider outsourcing payroll. In addition to federal regulations, each state has their own peculiarities when it comes to filing requirements.

Outsourcing your payroll can also help prevent financial penalties from late filings, underpayments, and incorrect paperwork submissions. Small business payroll services will usually guarantee their services, and pay for any errors which result from their mistakes. Payroll companies work by employing economies of scale. A third-party can do this much more efficiently and at a lower cost. One of the things you should do, is add up your time spent on routine administrative tasks. If you are spending more than 20% of your time doing routine tasks you should deftly consider outsourcing. Time spent on non-value added processes can usually be better off spending on projects which will provide direct value to your company.

When you’re choosing a payroll service you can search online or ask your accountant or banker. Some of the companies which provide online payroll include Intuit, ADP and others. Be sure to choose a service which allows online payroll management. This can save you time by allowing your employees to directly download their pay stubs and statements such as W-2′s at the end of the year. You can also tie this valuable information to an online portal for your employees.

To search and hire the right chartered accountant for you is not an easy task, but if you are going to start up a business, hiring an accountant should be done even before you come to terms of thinking you need one. It is part of the common sense of the employer that the right accounting professional is someone with the qualifications. If you are looking for one, then you should ask your professional associates. Their personal recommendations will be of vital importance to you especially if you have no idea where to start your search.

The search for the right accountant can be really demanding, but if you are starting up a business then looking for accountants should be a prime consideration which should not be left as a last decision to make.

Bookkeeping services are actually available on the internet as there are firms who have advertised their services online, so more people can view them. Check out these firms and contact them. Accountants can offer valuable service through studying your accounts and pinning down problems in the financial aspect of your business. Depending on your company’s needs, you can opt for specialized services and in order to find out the appropriate professionals to handle your specific needs, you should do a research. Accounting firms may offer legal services, bookkeeping, and payroll services; some offer a wide range of services while others focus on a few, wherein they are at their best.

Anyway, the easiest way to find good accountants is by asking your friends or relatives for suggestions. You can do your own research by searching the yellow pages and browsing the internet. You may find several choices after a few days but that does not mean the search is over because you need to sort out the prospects. If you are looking for services from a firm, you still need to schedule a conference with the potential employee. Meeting your prospects gives you better judgment than simply relying on their resumes which can be deceiving.

Small business owners make a mistake of not hiring accounting or bookkeeping services early in the course of their business and that this results in some of the most inconvenient experiences. It is a mistake to think small enterprises don’t need accounting. It is a mistake to not include accounting during the planning of the business, let alone to not include it during the inception. Accounting professionals serve more purpose than simply checking your books and records. They can be your valuable assistants or advisors doing more than basic record-keeping. Since your business has its unique attributes, it is necessary that you figure out what set of accounting services you need because different firms can provide you with unique assistance to match your company’s needs.

That is the very reason why considering the professional background and training of the prospect is extremely vital. You cannot simply hire someone because they have background in looking at book of accounts. You cannot hire just anyone who had a few subjects of accounting in college. What you need is one with sufficient training and expertise. So, be wary when marching over the internet to find freelancers. It’s always safe to find a firm wherein competent professionals are screened and honed and deployed to you.

Well the standard selection procedure applies when looking for the qualified accountant. Yes, this is tough, but it is the only way you could find the right one. CPAs or chartered accountants are usually the ones you need, in case you haven’t realized that yet. They are by far better equipped and sufficiently trained to handle different accounting jobs. Find professional accountancy bodies and organizations delivering accounting services to different businesses.

Discuss your needs with those in your shortlist during the interview so that you would know who can provide you with sensible answers. You can ask for references, in case you’d want to make a background check. If the accountant is confident, they’d be happy to give you names.

McCarthy Accountants is an established independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors licensed to operate under the regulations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. The firm was established in 1978 as John J. McCarthy & Company and has been offering tailored professional accounting and tax services to a range of businesses and individuals for over 35 years.

Auditing is the assessment and or evaluation of product, process, unit and/or business in its totality against known standards. Consulting is the advice and/or work that is to be performed for the business or organization that is necessary to improve both quality and productivity of the business against known standards and/or practices. Both auditing and consulting are the two wings for the successful and effective operation of the business. Auditing can be accomplished by independent professional who can be of the same organization or of external independent organization. Auditing performed by the independent professional form within the organization is known as internal audits.

Audits performed by outside professionals can be either 2nd party audits or 3rd party audits. Auditing finds out what is necessary to bring the system of the organization in compliance.. Audits can be of different types such as system audits, supplier audits, process audits, area and/or department audits. Audits has to be performed with independence-i.e. auditor can not audit his/her own areas of responsibility and/or function. Consulting addresses and implements those findings which help maintain functionally effective system that improves the bottom-line of the business. Consulting is performed by the professionals from outside organization. It can be independent organization or your supplier in some cases. One thing to keep in mind that your customer can not provide you consulting.

To find an experienced and professional auditor and/or consultant is a challenge that many organizations face in this competitive environment. If your consultant has no auditing experience, especially third party audits, this organization may not help you successfully, as they are not exposed to other side of the world of the audits, thus may not in totality understand the requirements of the applicable standards. On other hand, selecting the auditor never exposed to the consulting world is also fills half of the glass of your requirements! Besides their experience, accreditation and qualification pertaining to your industry are equally important and crucial to this process.

If you are a freelancer or contractor working in the UK, then your tax issues are likely to be a bit more complicated than people who are regularly employed. We’ve put together a guide to help you through it and sort out your tax. One major thing you need to sort out as quickly as possible is whether your business means you need to register a company or if you are self-employed and working as a sole trader as this can affect what tax you pay.

Then there’s the issue of VAT. You don’t have to worry about this too much if you’re on low to average earnings, but if you earn over £64,000 a year then you need to register for VAT. This is so you can collect and claim for Value Added Tax. It can be a complicated business as it adds an extra complication to your tax return, so if you’re worried about it you could ask an accountant to help you. It can be useful to separate the VAT when sending invoices.

One of the biggest tax issues UK freelancers have to deal with is the yearly self-assessment tax return. In order to complete this, you should keep a record of all costs associated to your work as well as all your earnings so you can input them into the form. This helps HMRC work out how much tax you owe. The tax return is based on the previous financial year (from April – April) and the tax you pay is based on your earnings in that year. One last thing to consider is how you’ll be paying your tax bill. It can be a good idea to have a cushion of money put by in case the following tax year is a bit lean and you don’t earn much as you’ll still be expected to pay the tax bill for the previous year. It can also be wise to put aside money throughout the year so that when tax time rolls around, you’ll have enough saved that you’ll be able to pay is easily.

Right now the next big job that is highly coveted is that of forensic accountants. This is one job that comes with a hefty salary, but that is just not all. This is also one of the most interesting and satisfying jobs that could be available. In case you have always had a keen sense of looking beyond the obvious then this is a line for you. The job of forensic accountants involves detecting the possible frauds that could have been resulted in corporate crimes. These days with the increase of crimes committed by big organization there is a growing need to develop a specialized class of accountants who could detect these crimes. Forensic accountants generally are handed down all the financial data and bank statements to locate whether there is any possible chance of a corporate crime in the likes of money laundering.

The first important step to this is meeting the clients and ascertaining what is being expected to be dug out. FAs are sought when there is a suspicion of a possible fraud. Forensic accountants first have to know what the exact suspicion is and the cause of the suspicions. Once the accountant has acquired the definite direction that is needed to be known, the investigator performs an initial investigation. For this stage and the remaining stages of investigation, the forensic accountant would have a right to complete documentation.

Once the FA has all the data that is needed for investigation, he or she begins the process of data mining. Data mining refers to process of hunting out the required evidence to establish a particular fraud case. Let us say that there are certain figures that appear more frequently in the entire scheme of data. That is a suspicious recurring deposit. With the help of such tools the FAs establishes trends. This process is called trending. Once trending is complete the forensic investigator generally goes over the external data. Once the external data confirms an instance of fraud, the task of a forensic investigator is complete. In fact this task is no less interesting than that of a detective. To add on the interest, you would typically be getting a good salary with amazing incentives.

Just taking a quick look at my Coral Gables numbers this morning I noticed that the Gables has already had 96 single family homes to sell so far in 2010. This is 24 more sales than we had during the same time period of 2009, and 21 more sales than we had in 2008.

The reason for the increase in sales does not seem to be a result of lower prices, at least not in Coral Gables. The “price per square foot” figure only fell $4.00 from the first quarter of 2009 to the first quarter of 2010. The reason is likely due to lower mortgage rates and general consumer confidence.

Other interesting figures: The average sale price for a home in Coral Gables during the first quarter of 2010 was $1,002,672 and the median was $645,000.
